One million jobs could be created for young people in the province of Mecca within the next 10 years, according to an economic study carried out by the mayor’s office in Jeddah, it was reported on Saturday.
The research, undertaken on the orders of Prince Khaled Al Faisal and carried out in collaboration with Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, provides recommendations on creating job opportunities.
“The study outlining the strategic plan for the development of Makkah province provides the road map for the projects that could be undertaken in the province providing employment for one million Saudi youths in 10 years,” said Jeddah Mayor Adel Fakieh, who is also the chairman of the Economic Committee of Mecca Province
